June 11, 2010 - Deadline for Pilot Grant Submittals
The Center for Chronic Disorders of Aging (CCDA) is announcing the next cycle of the pilot grant program that is designed to foster collaborative studies and research training related to chronic diseases and disorders of aging, and to obtain data for future extramural grant submissions. In this regard, the CCDA has developed a RFA (Request for Application) to support efforts from full-time faculty at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (Philadelphia and Georgia campuses) that fall within the mission of the CCDA. Although funding is limited, the CCDA will try to support as many outstanding projects as possible. The RFA packet attached to this message contains information as to the types of programs that will be supported.
Please note that there will be only one funding cycle this year (July 5, 2010 – June 30, 2011) in order to correspond with the PCOM fiscal year. The deadline for grant submittal will be June 11, 2010. Please limit the budget request to $10,000 or less. Further specifics for submission are included in the RFA packet, which is unchanged from last cycle. Should you need further information, you can contact Dr. Brian J. Balin, Director of Basic Science Research, CCDA. Tel: 215-871-6862; Email: brianba@pcom.edu.
